Jobapply acts as the data controller for the personal information you share with us while using our services. We process your data in compliance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act to ensure your personal information is properly safeguarded.
2. What Data Do We Collect?
When you use our services, we collect the following types of data:
- Personal Information: Your name, email address, and login credentials.
- CV and Application Content: Information about your work experience, education, skills, and any other details you choose to include in your documents.
- Usage Data: Information about your interactions with our platform, including your IP address, browser data, and cookies.
3. Purpose of Data Collection
We collect data for the following reasons:
- To create and store your CVs and cover letters.
- To improve our services and user experience.
- To provide communication and support related to our services.
- To analyze traffic and user interactions to enhance our website.
4. Sharing of Personal Information
We share your information with third-party providers necessary to deliver our services. This includes OpenAI (ChatGPT): If you use AI features to generate text suggestions for your CVs and cover letters, your inputs will be sent to OpenAI. We do not recommend entering sensitive information.
- OpenAI Ireland Ltd. handles data from the EEA and Switzerland and uses Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions for transfers of data to countries outside the EU/EEA.
- Security Measures: OpenAI employs EU Standard Contractual Clauses and other legal mechanisms to ensure that personal data transferred outside the EU/EEA is processed securely and in compliance with GDPR.
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes, and we only do so when necessary to provide our services or meet legal obligations.
5. Limitations on Information Collection
We recommend that you do not include sensitive personal information in your CVs and cover letters unless specifically requested. Sensitive information may include:
- Sexual orientation
- Political beliefs
- Religious or philosophical beliefs
- Trade union membership
- Health information
- Ethnic background
We reserve the right to amend your submitted information if we become aware that your CV contains illegal data. This will not happen regularly, and we will inform you of any such changes.
6. Storage and Protection of Personal Information
We process your personal data as long as we have a legitimate purpose for doing so, and your information remains in our system until you delete it or until defined retention periods require it to be removed.
If you would like us to delete all registered information about you, please contact us in writing at info@jobapply.dk.
When you choose to delete your profile, it will be marked for deletion for 90 days. After this period, your profile will be permanently deleted. This is to minimize the risk of accidental deletions.
Your profile is renewed once a year for the annual fee. If you do not automatically renew your profile, it will be marked as inactive. As an inactive user, you will still have access to your created documents, but they can no longer be edited or downloaded. If you maintain an inactive profile for five years, we will send you a notification. If you do not respond to this notification, we will delete your profile.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we process about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request the deletion of your information, subject to certain legal obligations.
- Restrict the processing of your information.
